MARRIAGE, FAMILY, AND HUMAN SEXUALITY

We believe marriage is a sacred covenant established by God between one man and one woman.

Marriage is intended for companionship, covenant faithfulness, mutual love, spiritual growth, sexual faithfulness, family life, service, and the responsible nurture of children where children are given.

We believe sexual intimacy is God's gift and is reserved for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman.

We affirm the biblical call to sexual purity and believe Christian teaching concerning human identity and sexuality must remain governed by Scripture.

At the same time, every person must be treated with dignity, compassion, truth, patience, and love because every human being bears the image of God.

We believe the family is a God-given institution for love, nurture, discipleship, protection, service, and the transmission of godly faith and character across generations.
